The Making Of: The KMSKA from concept to realization (2022) was an exhibition at
the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp which chronicled the museum’s
decades-long renovation. The goal of the exhibition was to provide visitors
with a look behind the scenes of the renovation through models, wall graphics,
videos, photos, and interviews. The graphic design team created an overall visual
identity for the exhibition as well as designs and execution details for the wall and floor graphics, including introductory information, the museum
stakeholders, the renovation facts and figures, a multi-panel timeline, a
world map showing the various loans made by the museum, and information
about the paintings that were restored during the renovation. The primary design challenge was the sorting, organization and understanding of a large amount of content
provided by the museum, and presenting it in an engaging and exciting way.
